Welcome! I am a painter of the landscapes and lakeshores of Michigan. I paint in my mid-Michigan studio from my own photographs, and also En Plein Air (outdoors). My mediums of acrylic and watercolor help capture a sense of place and moment and the flow of energy from my view onto the canvas or paper.
Enjoy viewing my current available works on this website and perhaps find one or more to make yours or as a special gift. Or, let's collaborate to create the perfect painting of a special place--check out my commissions page here for examples, and Contact me at [email protected]. I'd love to hear from you and answer any questions you may have about price, shipping, framing, etc. My FB and Instagram--@carolyndamstraart--shows current and sold artworks and inspiration.
