Original 16" x 20" acrylic painting on 1.5 inch thick stretched canvas with UV coating. I love exploring the rolling fields north of Cedar, on the Leelanau Peninsula in northern Michigan. Shuttered farmhouses and outbuildings from homestead properties dot fallow fields of grasses and wildflowers, creating amazing vistas around every corner and dip in the road. I wonder about the families that used to live here; the stories of their lives on this isolated peninsula.
